The CITRIS Policy Lab, in collaboration with the Center for Long-Term Security AI Security Initiative, compiles feedback from experts in AI research and development, safety, security, policy, and ethics on emerging federal AI strategies.

 

NIST AI Risk Management Framework

 

On April 28, 2022, a feedback was submitted to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in response to the Initial Draft of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF). Feedback focused on appropriately scoping risks and alignment with other standards established by IEEE and ISO. This response built upon earlier feedback submitted in January 2022 on the NIST AI RMF concept paper.

 

National AI R&D Strategic Plan

 

On March 4, 2022, feedback was submitted to the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy on the National AI R&D Strategic Plan. Feedback focused on helping to ensure the National AI R&D Strategic Plan enables sustained technological innovation, supports broad inclusion, economic prosperity, national security, and upholds essential democratic values.
